Five Don Bosco students from Goa, Johan Vernekar, Vibert Trindade, Francis Fernandes, Siddhant Dessai and Cecil Falcao, have designed a robot that could potentially solve the difficulty of high altitude cleaning of windows for manual labourers.
The students have designed a wireless, remote controlled robot that cleans windows from the outside in minutes. It runs on message commands and Bluetooth.
“Currently, there are machines available to clean the glass from the inside of buildings, but for external usage there is nothing available as such. Also, currently used machines run on electricity whereas we have employed pneumatic cylinders, which use compressed air to work. This makes them a cleaner option.” said Siddhant Dessai to Times of India.
